Building close tot he village saves you plenty of time on travelling between your base and the village. You cant build too close to the village because the game simply wont let you. If you find yourself constantly at low health, try finding an Obelisk (tall, black pyramid like structure) around the world. They can either heal you, increase your speed or grant you a little fairy creature thing that attacks for with you for a short duration.if you plan on cooking food (they give a lot more Hunger than eating Grass or Purple Swede), then find yourself a frozen river strip and use an Ice Drill to drill a Fishing Hole in it. Make yourself a fishing pole (dry grass can be obtained by going into the Snowless Lands or by using regular blue Grass on a campfire/firepit.forgot which one:P youll need the dry grass to make Rope for the fishing pole.
