There is also a Chief Engineer (or something like that) which has a 'setup' ability which dictates how accurately you can setup your car. I'd recommend to hire someone with at least 75 in this skill so that you can really fine tune the car. Then you'll have to renew his contract after some time excetera excetera. It'd be great management stuff if it wasn't for the fact that you have to use your own team just to tune the car in freeplay (and so spend money) and that the other engineers who repair the car are absolutely useless because no matter how bad they are they'll still manage to completely rebuild the car well within the 30 mins limit. DiRT Rally is focused on authentic driving handling, while DiRT 4 is focused being a simulator.Quite a spread of views over this - and what differences really are!DR is everything from experiement and not a real game - to more about manager.I added/upgraded a mechanic, I think it was, in DR and got an achievement for that - and statistics implied on Xbox said I was one out of 10 or so that ever unlocked that. I bought Legend version in may I think it was.If this was core of DR - how is it possible that I was one among very few that even did that? And I pick up DR maybe once every 3-4 months or something - which is basically twice now. This focus on physics that I remember in commercials about Dirt 4 - it's all from publishers and what they want everybody to believe.

How they rewrote handling of cars etc. Repeated by every reviewer on youtube etc. According to quite a few posters here on forum - gamers were not that impressed. And bugs that I reported are also reported for D4 - so it's in broader terms the same game. It's all marketing claiming so much work is put into it. DR had three locations for RX, D4 have the same and two more. PC2 came out recently and have 8 RX locations!!!!!!!It seems minimum amount of work to sell as new game.In all games there seems to be rather poor simulation overall.

Looking at rear camera view you see in all games how car turn around an axis in center of car - that is nowhere near how a car is guided from tyres and steering wheel and how it would move.I think it was Shift 2 where I had incidents sliding off track in 60 km/h - I mean this does not happend with any standard car even in U-turn - and this was 120 degrees turn or something. It seemed to me all they called physics were not there - it was all about how far you were from optimal guide line that told if you were to slide off track or not.But all Codemasters games seems better in this regard - apart from rear camera and how vehicle move around an axis - all racing games look like that.So new stronger consoles we can hope this changes to true similations of 4 wheels on a surface and how this makes a car behave.

Dirt rally 2.0 system requirements

I have yet to feel how wheels spins on a Codemasters game - like I feel on Forza 6 at least. With too much tyre pressure and heat at end of an event you really have a hard time not to loose tracktion - experimenting with that right now which pressure is optimal for cold tyres.
